Best, new web services available

I wanted to put together a list of the best web services that I use on a daily basis. These web sites have all changed the way that I use the internet and in my opinion they are the best of the best.
No doubt this list will change as times go on, so consider this a snapshot as of March 2006.
- RSS Reader: NewsAlloy
This has just about every feature you need in a RSS reader and some more too. Uses AJAX to navigate through the feeds to keep it all quick. Their quote: “NewsAlloy is a Rich media JavaScript based News Reader - Home page: Netvibes
Nice, fast interface with RSS, search, email, bookmarks, Flickr integration, and more. They’ve also just released an API to allow others to create custom items. Everything is drag and drop with lots of AJAX to prevent the page from needing to reload. Their quote: “Netvibes.com is a custom made web 2.0 home page solution - Email client: Gmail
No other email client comes close to the simple but powerful Gmail interface. Designed to let you read, search and organise your email as easily as possible. More storage than you’ll ever need, and they are constantly adding new features, including a rumoured calendar application soon to be released. Their quote: “Gmail is a free, search-based webmail service that combines the best features of traditional email with Google’s search technology - Photo sharing: Flickr
Although services like BubbleShare are quickly catching up, and in some cases adding features that Flickr doesn’t yet have, Flickr is still the number one photo sharing site. Easy blogging integration (especially with FAlbum for Wordpress), lots of open APIs, quick interface, handy organising tools, and many more cool features. Their quote: “Flickr – almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the worldâ€? - Video sharing: YouTube
YouTube is known as the Flickr of videos, but like Flickr it has lots of new competition from sites such as vSocial and others. It’s still the most used site and as such has the best following because of the sheer quantities of videos on the site. Their quote: “YouTube is a consumer media company for people to watch and share original videos worldwide through a Web experience - Bookmarking: del.icio.us
A basic idea that’s well executed. Allows you to save your bookmarks (website URLs) and tag them so that others can find them to. There are some great tools available to make the process of saving and tagging your bookmarks even easier, such as the Firefox extensions available. Their quote: “del.icio.us is a collection of favorites – yours and everyone else’s.â€? - Social news: Digg
Digg has been compared to Slashdot in the past, but is quite different in that it is only moderated by the users doing the digging. Anyone can submit a story and if enough people “digg the story, then it makes it to the front page. Their quote: “Digg is a technology news website that combines social bookmarking, blogging, RSS, and non-hierarchical editorial control. - Real time search: Technorati
This is a lot of competition in this area at the moment as the big guns like Yahoo and Google are releasing new search engines to deal with the vast amounts of “real time content that is being generated by the millions of blogs each day. Their quote: “Technorati is the authority on what’s going on in the world of weblogs.
What are your favourites? Have I missed any other categories that are important to you?
